roll bar and roof

Postby tchyted » Fri Jun 29, 2012 7:05 pm

am in search of a roll bar with perhaps a roof to fit my older 446 with front end loader. on the rough terrain i use mine on, it can get a bit frightening when one runs over a rock or stump, especially with the bucket loaded. i'm thinking safety first, maybe rain or falling branch protection next, and looks last. form follows function.

would i be best off to go to a muffler shop and have him bend me up a piece of 1 1/2" plumbing pipe to a custom fit, or is this just re-inventing the wheel? havn't seen pictures of what i'm looking for on a gt. there are also golf cart roofs that can be attatched with creativity. i'm thinking of using the (currantly unused) spring loaded pins on the front that are for quick attatchment of a tool, and have no idea of how to attatch it to the rear strong eneugh to keep the opperator from getting killed.

any ideas?
