Hyd pumps

Hyd pumps

Postby ken29pond » Wed Jul 22, 2015 8:27 am

Hi All,
I have a question about hyd pumps. I have read somewhere that Case/ Ingersoll had used a double hyd pump in several models. I was wondering if any one new in what models and what years (serial numbers)? Also whey did they use is for what application? If this is true infor what were the specs as to GPM on both sides, the Case part number and or the outside mfg and part number? What size engine would run such a pump?
Thanks Ken

Yes, Ingersoll has used tandem pumps on a few models.

Specifically, the 3100/4100 series (4116, 4118, 4118D, 4120 etc), and the new loaders, 6018 and 7020.

This was used to gain total hydraulic capacity in the tractor. On the 4100's the small secondary pump runs the power steering only. On the 6018 and 7020 loaders, the small secondary runs the power steering and the loader lift and dump cylinders.

Specs vary greatly by model ... what's the really specific question?

Smallest engine used was the 16HP Onan twin (4116, etc) and ranged up to the 20hp Onan, 20hp Kohlers, and 18hp Perkins.

Thanks Brian,
I knew that someone would have the right the answer. The only reason I asked was that someone told me the that hyd pump had been used on some of the 400 series GT. I looked in all the parts books I have but could not fine it. I see they must have been talking about the 4000 series. Thanks again. :D :D
