Since this tractor had been revealed to the public at the Rockford show this last Saturday I thought I may as well share a picture of it with my chipper shredder going to work yesterday. Dan

After seeing the detail, energy and money spent on some of these modifieds, I guess I would have to go ALL OUT to stay ahead of the current pace....

I was thinking that the following would look pretty good, scaled appropriately, dressed in Power Red of course........

The font frame section pivots separate from from the rear frame section. The two sections are on a pivot for turning left to right and on a pendulum swing underneath the frames so they can twist independently. Basically the top of the pivot pin is mounted securely. The bottom of the pivot pin goes through a flat stock steel bar that can swing from left to right with the other end of the flat bar anchored back to a secure point on the frame for a pivot point. This allows the bottom of the pivot pin to swing left and right like a pendulum movement. I would need to take a picture of it.

Dan,
I recall looking at your swivel system.... I was curious as to the thought behind that method over your typical tight two axis swivel (u-joint style)?

I envision the pendelum, but couldn't see where it accomplished something more....

Grummy,
It actually uses less space to use the pendulum setup versus the u-joint style. Depending on the size of the setup you can save yourself a few inches in length. The pendulum style also has natural stops built into it. It will allow the frame sections to twist within safe operating levels versus the u-joint style unless you were to install some stops to prevent the frames form overturning in rough terrain.

You should post some photos sometime. That design is interesting and I have run it thru my head a few times. I see that physical stop issue.....
